Today we continued sorting and making parts for the robots, we're REALLLY starting to get to that, "Oh crap!" point in the season, I really really hope we can get the sheet metal this weekend, if not we might be in a little bit of trouble. We'll just take it as it comes. I unfortunately don't have any picture today, but I do have a story.
If you are reading this, I can assume you already, "Get it" as many like to say. But I do have a bone to pick with some of the kids that haven't fully, "Gotten it" just yet. Please try to keep in mind why this program was founded, it's not that hard, it's in the programs names for Pete's sake. For INSPIRATION and recognition of science and technology. It is not a program founded so you can benefit and leave your team after you've gotten you're carrot. Please, ALWAYS help pass the torch. Once you've received something from this program that has benefited you, don't just leave, help progress the team, or FIRST and help the next generation go beyond what you've done. Nothing in my mind is greater than mentoring a kid that succeeds, especially if you know you mentoring that kid had an impact on their life. So basically what i'm trying to say is don't ever stop doing things that will progress this program. FIRST is an amazing program that will change many, many, many kids lives. I know it's changed mine, and I will be forever in debt to my team for that.
